Bathroom Sink Faucet Options

When you are remodeling your bathroom, remember to account for every little detail. One decorative item that many homeowners neglect is their bathroom sink faucet. It almost seems unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but you should really put as much thought into choosing the right faucet as you do with the sink, marble countertop or tile flooring. A stunning faucet can have just as much of an impact on your bathroom as any other feature. But what are your faucet options?
This article from HGtv.com explains.
First of all, do not be tricked by prices. Cheap faucets will end up costing you more money in the long run. So pay the extra money now to get a solid-brass faucet instead of a plated metal one. And remember to check the warranties, as well.
Bathroom sink faucets come in four basic varieties: 8 inches (comes in 3 pieces – tap and hot and cold handles); 4 inches (normally one solid piece); single hole (one stem with a single lever to control temperature); and wall mount. If the sink you have installed already has holes, measure the span between the centers of the two outermost holes to determine the type of faucet you need. If you have an undermounted or a vessel sink, you can choose a wall-mount faucet or put a deck-mounted faucet in the vanity countertop.
Each type of faucet comes in a wide range of styles. So find a faucet that perfectly compliments both your sink and your own unique style.
